I’ve made this over and over and its so good! Tonight I added 1/2tsp smoky paprika, 2TBSP flour to the meat mixture. Them once it was done, I used a nice spoonful of cream cheese to get a nice sauce. This was delish!

Stephanie – we used barilla elbow noodles.  I honestly followed the same recipe – I didn’t change anything – just brought the m I tire with broth to boiling and then put noodles in/submerged and cooked for time on box.  I did put a lid on while cooking and reduced heat a bit so it was not rapidly boiling once noodles were in.  Stirred cheese in when done and it was awesome, tasted like the box kind but healthier and fresher.

Hi Lisa! I am sorry to hear that the noodles were overcooked, I’ve made this dozens of times and that’s never been the case but I’m thinking it may vary slightly from brand to brand. (Do you happen to know what brand you used?) I have this stovetop Hamburger Helper recipe that you are also welcome to try sometime, so that you don’t have to convert this one, (although nice job doing it successfully)! 🙂

Love the concept but the noodles were mushy and overcooked for us.  I used your ingredients/recipe but cooked everything in one large pot on the stove and cooked the noodles for the recommended time on the box — Amazing!!!
